[What is Morning Jewelry?]
MOURNING JEWELRY
Black jewelry that was popular in the mid-Victorian era (approximately the 1860s to 1880s).
The origin of the name comes from the fact that after Queen Victoria's beloved husband, Prince Albert, died in 1861, she wore black clothing and jewellery as a sign of mourning until her own death in 1901.
Because of its beautiful appearance, it became fashionable throughout Britain at that time, and this name refers to the black jewelry of that time.
Since it is made of resin, it is resistant to water and sweat and can be used with ease.
